Dawn and Dusk

Dawn will break and the Sun will rise
Days will pass and time will fly
Yet we yearn for the rising sun
For each new Dawn promises us fun

The birds rejoice with each new day
Serenading it with sounds so gay
Never afraid to fly too high
Like them we should, reach for the sky

The Rain may come and the Sun may go
Still they flew with a heart so bold
Never erring, always true
Soaring across the great deep blue

Long is the journey, great is the toil
Heavy is the burden, tough is the choice
Never giving up in the face of defeat
Onwards they flew, beat by beat

Day and night the cycle turns
Never stopping, no way to return
Yet we know that life goes on
Leaving memories that are ever so fond

Now Dawn has broken and the Sun has rose
Dusk is falling and the day draws to a close
Yet we know that Dawn will come
Again it will, to bring hope to some
